What is Yoga?

Yoga is derived from the sanskrit word “yuj” or “yujir” meaning “to yoke” , “to control “ or “to enter into highest state of consciousness”. The general trend amongst yoga lovers is that they have accepted the first meaning i.e. to yoke or to unite but other two meanings have either been forgotten or kept in abeyance. However, the Authentic Yoga always considers the change of consciousness, awakening to new consciousness beyond mental consciousness, transformation of mind so that a new consciousness dawns in human life. This new consciousness dawns when practitioner awakens to his innermost consciousness. is derived from the sanskrit word “yuj” or “yujir” meaning “to yoke” , “to control “ or “to enter into highest state of consciousness”.
